No America !! - Watch 'The X-Files' if you're not in America

  • Sign up to an unblocking service

You'll need to sign up to a Smart DNS service(un blocker), and configure it on your computer or router. Yes, it'll cost you a little bit of money, but some of these services have free trials.
There are a number of services available including Unblock-UsGetflix and Mediahint that you can choose from.

These will have specific instructions for your Internet-connected device or router.

Smart DNS services are technically different to a Virtual Private Network (VPN), which encrypt your data but can slow down one's internet connection. Smart DNS services mask your IP address to match with the physical location of the website you're trying to access, as if you were in that country. It's faster too, ideal for video streaming.

In Australia at least, there is no legal prohibition on VPN services, however, you may encounter some difficulty with services that have started to prohibit access from these un blockers. Netflix has made it clear it will stop users trying to access content with VPNs, while Australian video-on-demand service Presto already does.
  • Go to the FOX website and watch The X-Files

If you're configured correctly, you should be able to head to The X-Files website on FOX where full episodes are posted and watch it through their player. You'll also be able to access a host of other services including BBC's iPlayer, Hulu and others.
